Advocacy & Campaigning

Stepping Stones Nigeria believes passionately in the power of advocacy and campaigning to help bring about positive, long term change in the lives of children in the Niger Delta.

The aim of this work is to ensure that all children in the Niger Delta enjoy all of their rights all of the time. We believe that one day all children will be empowered to claim their rights themselves and we strive to make this vision a reality.

Advocacy

SSN sees one of our key roles as advocating at a local, national and international level to provide a voice for the children of the Niger Delta and influence key decision makers to defend and protect the rights of children and to uphold their responsibilities under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

PACT Campaignpact_no_strap_sm

The PACT campaign is a response to the widespread child rights violations that take place in Nigeria. In particular, PACT campaigns against child witchcraft-related abuse and child trafficking. We want to put a stop to these practices and can only hope to do so with your full support.

The aims of PACT are to:

1 Stand up for children’s rights and fight against child abuse

2 Challenge the belief in child witches

3 Highlight the plight of child trafficking victims
